They dont have to be a sooper dooper fabulous artist, I dont want anything too elaborate, its for a dance performance. Otherwise.....

On September 29, 2007 at 1:30 pm at Dollard des Ormeaux library there will be a FREE henna workshop for members of the library ! It will be about 2 hours long and everyone will get their own henna cone. We encourage everyone to do henna on themselves or practice on the sheets that will be provided. You will also receive a small henna design, and our secret recipe! Workshop will be in english.

Oil in the tube

Hi,

I got a Henna set with prepared Henna paste in tubes. It is pretty handy.
However the oil sets at the beginning of the paste. That means when I start drawing, Henna comes out to fluid and oily. That makes drawing more difficult. After a while that oil is gone and the Henna really appears as paste easy to draw.

What can I do to get the paste straight away? I tried shaking without success.
Or will I really have to push out the oily part before drawing? Wouldn't that affect the remaining paste in the tube?

Does anyone have or know where I can find the old style Jacquard bottles? I need the ones with the metal tip that looks like a thick needle. One of my employees lost my bottles and it seems no one carries this style anymore. I have tried the new ones and they just don't work as well.

Since you deleted my original post about this I am posting again - I had no idea one member of tribe.net had the right or ability to delete another's posts, and I find your behavior most disturbing.

The work you show on your website is NOT your own work, and is clearly stolen. The majority of the pictures in the gallery here, however, are your own work, and the difference in style is obvious to all.

Unless you do something to remedy this situation I will be forced to post the private message I've just sent to you on this and all other henna tribes. I don't want to have to threaten you but I find your unethical business practices highly damaging to our art form, and your unwillingness to respond to my emails and messages quite disturbing.

getting started

Hi we tried doing some henna tattoo awhile ago with a little kit we got from a faire. I'm wondering though, since I have no idea how to get started, where to go, to go beyond that, where/how do you buy your henna if it isn't in some pre-made kit, recipes, etc. Also we found that the biggest problem was keeping the henna from drying and cracking or falling off, or else keeping it from blurring and smearing, some advice or at least a push in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.
